Best weekend places in Chandigarh


Hello beautiful people this is my first blog. From today, I will be sharing my experiences as far for travel, fashion, food, lifestyle and much more about “City Beautiful” Chandigarh. As a migrant I can totally understand how it feels when you don’t know about your new city and lifestyle. I hope my blogs will help you to get explored more.

So let’s get started:
Chandigarh is an ultimate city with the perfect blend of all fun and scope. In today’s scenario this ‘City Beautiful’ is attracted by many people all over India. This city is one of the most organized and systematic city of the country.Chandigarh is known for its epitome urbanization and development. Surrounded by Himalayas the climate and weather here is very much mermerising.So, if you are new to Chandigarh don’t worry you are at best city and you will enjoy at lot here.
So here are some weekend places where you could go and explore.

1.Ftaeh burj   
Ftaeh burj is the tallest victory tower in India. It one the most beautiful historical place of Punjab. It was made in the name of Banda Bahadur for  his victory over Wazir Khan.I visited this place in June 2017 and spent my weekend very in the lap of our heritage.

Explore timing: 3 hour
Location:In historical village Chapar Chiri,20KM away from Mohali
Timings:10am to 7pm (CLOSED ON MONDAY.)



             
2.Burj Kotiyan
Burj kotiyan is a village that asides near Chandigarh.It is a very small village with very less development.The village is surrounded by small hills,river and waterfall.I visited this place in March 2018 and we had a very good time in such a calm place.

Explore timing:2 hours
Location:In burj kotiyan village( prefer your own vehicle)
Timings:No such timings but visit during day time.




3.Chattbir Zoo
Chattbir zoo is a very fine place where you could spend your weekend in a very effective way.It is a  big zoo which have variety of fauna species.I visited this place in December 2018.The lion safari is one of the main attractions.It looks pleasant to see how a barren land has been used as a natural inhabitant for the animals.There are various canteens for refreshments.

Explore timing:4 hours
Location: Chattbir Zoo Rd Cchat, Punjab, Panchkula 140603, India
Timings:9am to 5pm (closed on Monday)
Entry fees: 60 Rupees per head





4.Nepli forest
Nepli forest is the trek form nepli forest to kansal forest. It is a very pleasant place with small lakes and ponds along  it during the monsoon season.The area is totally covered by green forests which imprints a very good impression on your mind and heart.In the way come along from kansal forest rest house which is like a small cute hut with a widespread green garden around it.

Timing:No fixed timimg
Entry Pass Required from Deputy Forest conservator








5.Morni hills
Morni is a small village in Haryana which is surmounted by its unique beauty of hills.The place is a very good picnic spot with a beautiful lakes,hills,gardens around.There are lot more places you can visit within mori hills like visiting Tikkar taal,adventure park,Morni fort etc.One should prefer their own car to visit this place as it will be easy for you to explore.
